Kennel SheepWise is owned by Jane Kristiansen. Jane is a trained animal nurse from England, and has been active with hunting dogs on pheasant hunts and retrieving competitions. She has also had a Rottweiler which she used as a working dog and for exhibitions.
After she moved to Norway in 1989, she has been active with exhibitions, working dogs and obedience with several different breeds. As of today, Border Collies and herding apply.
In addition to working as a pet nurse at a small animal clinic, she has her own farm with approx. 65 sheep on winter feed, so the days are spent training herding dogs, both for practical use and for competition.
Jane loves to travel, and spends most of her holidays traveling abroad to compete. Here at home in Norway have competed against the Norgeseliten, and in the last 10 years have qualified several dogs for both the NM and the Norwegian series final.
Placements in NM worth mentioning are 14th place in 2021 and 7th place in 2022.
